I enjoyed my stay in Bell Lodge, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed here for about 7 weeks. Sometimes it was really annoying that all of the dishes have been taken away, but well, that was our fault to.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Bell Lodge. 7 weeks full of fun and hanging around with the other guests. There was a great cooking equipment, a nice television room and a large outside area. Also the rooms and bathrooms were fine. What I didn't like was the fact everyone was punished for some peoples mistakes.
All in all I would recommend.

The Bell Lodge is a very small and nice hostel.
I've been here for I think 6 or 7 weeks and time was great and with the other guests a family atmosphere.
The rooms, kitchen and bathroom are clean.
Sheree & Rick are very friendly and the Killer Pool evening with Rick was I think, the best evening in the hostel.

The Bell Lodge is nice place to stay. U meet a lot of people and some good spots like the Mount Maunganui or the McLaren Falls are not far away. I stayed 18 weeks here with a accommodation job and at least a good job in a honey factory. So I saved a lot of money for the last four months in New Zealand.

Bell Lodge is an affordable and friendly place to be, in an opportune and quiet location. Sheree & Rick really try their best to organise some fitting work for you. We met many nice people, but that also means theres often no cooking place left in the kitchen or you don't get a pot. At times very full and noisy but very cheery place.

Stayed over 3 months and had a great time! One of the most special hostels I've stayed. Great team, nice environment and fantastic people!! Rick & Sheree provided me with plenty of work, thanks again to you guys! Keep up your good work. There was plenty to do around the Bell Lodge, a ride to the gorgeous McLaren Falls (only 15 k's out of town), a relaxing visit to the hot pools nearby or straight to the beach at the Mt., just to mention a few.

Bell Lodge has been a home away from home. The size of the hostel is perfect to get to know everyone (thats how we met). There are loads of films to choose from. Sheree & Rick have gone out of their way to find us work and to be supportive.
We've had loads of fun and we will be sure to come back as it is the best working hostel in New Zealand!

Me & my girlfriend we spent almost 40 nights at Bell Lodge and really enjoyed the people we met here. Even though there was some upgrades in the bathrooms, they were made keeping the hostels order.
Sheree was always nice to me, just making jokes, recommending movies or telling us her own story. Rick has a strong personallity(sometimes may affect his health) but is a good guy, he kept my drawing safe.
I recommend to fight against flies to improve the image. And I hope we'll be back soon at our return.

We spent nearly three months living at Bell Lodge and had a wonderful time. The kitchen, lounge, and outdoor areas are very conducive to socializing and meeting people. As a result, we made some strong connections with new friends. Rick and Sheree do a good job of organizing events to bring people together including pool tournaments, quiz competitions, and trips to nearby sites.

This week in Bell Lodge was very productive!! Since the first day the owner gived to us everything for to be comfortable. I appreciate a lot that they organise jobs for people like me (travellers). The only point that I'm a little bit dissapointed was that I couldn't find to much tools in the kitchen, otherwise compare with our hostel that I've been this kitchen is really big and we have a lot of space for our things.

I was glad about it. Bell Lodge is very comfortable. Everyone is good people. So, I miss leaving here. But, we are going to go to another place, because of ourself. I never say "Goodbye". I wish I'd like to see you again. So, I say "See You soon".

Thank you for everything
I have stayed at a lot of Backpacker. I think "Bell Lodge" is my best place because:
Sheree .... You talked about a lot of thing to me. Even if you were working you sat down to talk to us. I was glad about it.
Rick .... When we arrived You beamed a cheerful welcome. You also smiled to us since. So we could spend at rest at here.
