Cancellation Policy
We welcome your booking at Bell Lodge and thank you for choosing us as your accommodation provider in Tauranga. Due to the nature of our business cancellations affect us significantly and we apply the following cancellation policy. Should you require further explanation please feel free to contact us.
- During peak times, (Dec-Feb & public holidays) a deposit of two nights accommodation is required to secure and guarantee the booking. All other times a deposit of one nights accommodation is required.
- If the booking is cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival the deposit is refundable in full.
- If the booking is cancelled within 30 days of arrival the deposit is non refundable (at our discretion) If we are able to rebook the accommodation we will retain a 1 night charge. Outside peak times the deposit is non-refundable within 7 days.
- If the booking is cancelled within 7 days prior to arrival, or the period of stay is reduced, the full cost of the total booking will be required. (outside peak times if the booking is cancelled or reduced within 48 hours of arrival the full cost will be required)
Group bookings
- For group bookings a 50% deposit covering all accommodation is required to secure and guarantee the booking.
- Confirmation of group numbers must be made 7 days prior to arrival, and payment in full will be required for that number at that time.
- Cancellations apply as above.
Weekly Rates
Weekly rates apply for those international Backpackers / World Travellers who are wanting to stay and work in the area. These rates are for whole weeks and must be paid in advance. If you arrived on a Sunday you would need to pay your week on the following Saturday and each Saturday after this. This is to ensure we do not book the bed to another backpacker. Should you not pay on time daily rates will apply.
As a part of the BBH network, we offer those holders of valid BBH cards a discount off the standard weekly rate. This is only valid for cash or EftPos payments. For Credit Card payments a 3% Credit Card convenience charge will be added to the transaction.
If we have not been informed of your departure at least 7 days before, a refund will be at our discretion. We reserve the right to decline weekly rates to anyone.
