Budget Backpacker Accommodation in Tauranga

Bell Lodge BBH Tauranga backpackers is situated in the heart of suburban Tauranga, but is still close to all the main roads of the City. A 5 minute drive takes you to Tauranga City, and a further 5 minutes gets you to the beaches at Mount Maunganui. For those without transport, we are close to supermarkets, shopping centres and public transport, so our location is convenient to all.

Bell Lodge Backpackers Tauranga is a privately owned backpackers hostel and belongs to the BBH Hostel network. Backpackers who are BBH club card holders qualify for a discounted room rate. Even without the discount, our comfortable and cheap accommodation choices are great value for money, with lots of room options.

Our BBH accommodation is available for travellers on a budget. We have Single, Twin, Double and 4 Bed Share En-Suite rooms, 4 Bed Share rooms and an eight Bed Share Room. If you would like to stay in a tent there is room for a few out the back.

Hosts, Sheree & Rick, provide free transport from the Tauranga Bus Terminal or Info Centre and free daily weekend travel to the beaches in Mount Maunganui (where possible and practicable).

Wireless Internet is available provided by Zenbu Wi-Fi hotspot. Vouchers are obtainable from the office, or you may purchase online using your credit card through Zenbu.

Our Budget Backpackers hostel in sunny Tauranga, Bay of Plenty is a great base from which to enjoy the many activities and sights in the Bay of Plenty. We can advise you about some of the regions many attractions, also offering a booking service for some tourist experiences and activities, plus tell you some of the free sights around the region to check out.

Member of BBHThis week in Bell Lodge was very productive!! Since the first day the owner gived to us everything for to be comfortable. I appreciate a lot that they organise jobs for people like me (travellers). The only point that I'm a little bit dissapointed was that I couldn't find to much tools in the kitchen, otherwise compare with our hostel that I've been this kitchen is really big and we have a lot of space for our things.

Mount Maunganui Bay of PlentyGood place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Lovely views of the sunset and surrounding area. Walking distance to grocers and other stores. Sheree and Rick are funny and helpful. Ned (their English Bulldog) is sweet as pie.

Bell Lodge is very clean, tidy and comfortable. It is in a good location with a supermarket 15mins walk away and the town 30 mins walk.
We'd definitely stay there again and we recommend it to you too!
